Learn How to Meditate!

Meditation was designed to help you quiet your mind and get to place of power within yourself. However, have you ever tried to quiet your mind? After you read this sentence close your eyes and try to still your thoughts for a few moments then come back to this page. Do it now!

What happened? You did perform the exercise didn’t you? If not, do it now – no slacking!

Did you notice just how hard it is to quiet your mind? Your thoughts rage and become an almost unstoppable torrent when you become still. Quieting the mind has always been one of the hardest things for a human being to do!

When most people try to quiet their minds they become anxious and agitated. Without practice and diligence trying to disassociate yourself from your thoughts is extremely hard. That is why Zen monks spend over 20 years perfecting the art of meditation!

Trying to regulate your thoughts is an almost impossible task. For this reason many different forms of meditation have been developed over thousands of years.

One of the most popular forms of meditation involves regulating your breathing. When you regulate how you breathe you gain a relaxation in the body that removes physical tension and a peace in the mind that allows you to enter deep meditative states. These states produce slow vibrational brainwave frequencies in the brain that lead to profound shifts in consciousness.

If you wish top try this approach all you have to do is relax by either sitting in a comfortable chair or by lying down. Then you should close your eyes and breathe in deeply for five seconds, then exhale all the air in your lungs for five seconds.

Continue this cycle for several minutes concentrating your thoughts on your breathing. You will find that your body relaxes and your thoughts become less chaotic and random. After about 10 minutes you will probably begin to get flashbacks from your past as your brain starts to reorganize its neural network. This is normal, to be expected, and very beneficial!

However, it can take many years to get to a stage in your meditative practices where you are able to enter these life-changing states. Fortunately though there is a faster way thanks to developments made by modern science!

Binaural beats are an auditory means of entering the deepest states of conscious known to man. They work through the manipulation of sound frequencies which are recorded in specific ways based on the internal wiring of the human brain. Although they were first discovered in the 19th Century it was only in the latter part of the 20th century that there full potential was realised and utilized.

Through the use of specific recordings, that incorporate binaural beats, it is possible to elicit specific mental and physical states in the mind and body. All that is needed is the correct recording, a playback device such as a CD player or MP3 player and a pair of stereo headphones.

Once you start to listen to the recording all you need to do is close your eyes and relax. The binaural beats in the recording will do the rest!

These recordings are the fastest way to enter guaranteed meditative states. It has been shown in a great many laboratory studies that binaural betas can create the exact same brainwave frequencies as those that are created by very experienced meditaters.

In fact there are even programs, such as Holosync, that create the same mental states as those experienced by Zen Masters while practicing Transcendental Meditation!
