I used to carry out personal goal setting for myself but failed to achieve them either. The desire to achieve these personal goals is always there. However, I'm always unsure of where I should begin. For example, I wanted to keep my working area clean and tidy daily. However, I always find it hard to do so especially after a day's work. To ensure that I will never get frustrated in cleaning and organizing my work area anymore, I set myself a personal goal. I work out a plan to clean and tidy up the work area daily. I had everything written down with the smallest details included. Writing down the tasks I need to do to achieve this goal give me the determination and strength to actually do the work. It also eases me the strain of having to remember everything. This allows me to focus on completing these smaller tasks in sequence to get the final goal desired easily. I was finally able to achieve what I want; a clean and organized room daily. Nowadays, when people visit my work area, they will compliment that it's one of the cleanliest and most organized work place they had been to. This certainly boosts my confidence and enables me to set even harder goals for myself to achieve in other parts of my life. Remember, being optimistic and having positive thinking in the beginning is a major part of achieving personal goal setting. Thus, when carrying out personal goal setting, always stay motivated and be positive that you will achieve it. Most importantly, take action to carry out the tasks that you have written down. And you will be able to achieve personal goal setting success. Vincent Seah is a goal setting expert and publisher of http://www.GoalSettingSuccess.com.
