Over the last 25 years I have truly discovered from experience that through perseverance any goal is attainable.
Sometimes our goals may change or even fall away but any reasonable goal that we truly want is attainable for us if we work towards it and we are open to learning new things.
Although goal-setting is not a new concept and has been around for thousands of years I believe that the average human being still does not fully understand how to us it. I mean question yourself for a few minutes - how many of your goals are your own?
We are given almost all our preferences by our parents and peers when we are small children and then walk around in adulthood until death claiming that they are our own. Sometimes these preferences have been forced upon us with such power that we consciously realise that we do not want them for ourselves - such as the son becoming a doctor to please his father or the daughter marrying a man in a pre-arranged marriage to please her family etc.
However, most times these preferences remain unnoticed consciously and our dislike for them and unconscious desire to stay away from them runs silently in the background of our minds.
Like computer viruses these negative thoughts and feelings will hamper any conscious effort made to attain a goal connected to them or worse you can actually attain the goal and spiral into depression when you realise it is making you miserable because it was never your desire to begin with!
Using tools such as The Sedona Method will help to alleviate any suffering caused from pursuing goals that were never your own and can also free up your mind and emotions so that you can openly and consciously pursue those desires that are truly meaningful to you.
I highly recommend you do some inner work and introspection before pursuing a goal and tehn once you identify something that you truly desire place all your energy into getting it!
