The Sedona Method History
What is the history of the sedona method and does it really work?

The Sedona method began its life with a man called Lester Levenson. When Lester was 42 he had suffered his second major heart attack and was sent home to die. His doctor told him he had only weeks and perhaps days to live so he should not exert himself and stay in bed.

Before Lester Levenson created the sedona method he was a physicist. He believed only in what could be seen and measured. Fortunately though, this view changed as he started to question his life and what he wanted from it as he prepared for death. Slowly the answers came to him along with the framework for the sedona method.

Soon he discovered that he was seeking happiness. So he began to question what made him happy. He then discovered that he was happiest when he was loving and was unhappiest when he was seeking love. By changing his feelings of non-love to feelings of love Lester began to get better but something more important happened!

He found that he wanted to control the past. He found that he was constantly seeking approval and he found that he was always looking for a feeling of safety. Then he discovered that these thoughts and feelings were actually creating his experiences! Soon afterwards he discovered the sedona method. He used the sedona method to totally erase all his negative thoughts and feelings and within 3 months he was totally cured!

Lester used the sedona method to completely cure himself in 3 months. He also used the sedona method to make himself a millionaire in 6 months using non of his own money buying and selling property!

The sedona method teaches, like all self improvement guides, that our thoughts create our reality. It also follows the axiom "what you resist persists" - Carl Jung 1875 - 1961. By removing his resistance to past, present and future events Lester was able to stay more focused in the present and he found that his thoughts became clearer and more powerful.

When your thoughts become clear, without the hindrance of negativity or opposite thoughts, they materialize very quickly in the world! This is the power of the sedona method.

The Sedona Method teaches that our thoughts are driven by our emotions. By removing the harmful emotions behind our negative thoughts, through the sedona method, we free ourselves to have, be or do anything we desire.

The sedona method is an experiential tool. It cannot be fully explained and must be experienced. Even after the first use of the sedona method you experience a lightness in your body and are left with a warm, fun-like energy that is exhuilerating.

Binaural Beats Explained

Do binaural beats really work and what exactly do they do?

Binaural beats are just tones which are generated to have a specific frequency and when listened to they can entrain your brain. Brain entrainment is just a fancy term used to describe what happens when a technology, such as binaural beats, is used to alter your brainwaves. Having the ability to change your brainwaves is enormously beneficial. With the right binaural beats you can produce a sense of deep relaxation, heightened creativity or even alert focus. As well as many other states that are available you can also create a feeling of euphoria and even expereience added health benefits.

Binaural beats were first discovered by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove in 1839. Dove used 2 tones which were different only in frequency and only by a small amount. He then played one of these tones into one ear and the other tone into the other ear. This, he found, created a beat effect in the brain of the listener even though no beat actually existed. The brain perceived the beat when it mixed the 2 sound together. The beat had a frequency equal to the difference between the two tones. An example would be if one binaural tone has a frequency of 2000 hertz and the other binaural tone has a frequency of 2010 herts then the binuaral beat that the brain hears would have a frequency of 10 hertz which is the mathematical difference between the 2 tones. The binural beat is not really there. It is merely the brain's perception of what it is hearing that causes these binaural beats. They do not exist independently of the brain. A simile would be when you hear a word when the wind blows or see a shape in a cloud. Nothing is really happening but your brain tries to put meaning to what it is hearing and seeing!

Although this was a great discovery it wasn't until 1973, when Gerald Oster's article "Auditory Beats in the Brain" was published by Scientific American, that the enormous benefits of using binaural beat technology became apparent. It was found that when these binaural tones are played the brainwaves of the listener will follow the frequency of the beat that is produced.  It is now known that certain frequencies are conductive to different internal experiences. If your brainwaves are between 8 - 12 hertz, for example, you are said to be in the Alpha state. The ability to entrain the brain into different states is highly beneficial. Let's take a quick look at the common brainwave states and their associated physical states to get some idea of what I mean.

1. Beta - you are in the beta state when you are engaged in thinking activities, anxious or stressed.

2. Alpha - this is the state of relaxed focus. You would be in an alpha state if you were watching a movie or daydreaming, recalling memories.

3. Theta - this is the state of sleep, very deep relaxation or most forms of meditation.

4. Delta - this is the state of very deep sleep where the body repairs itself and the immune system is strong.

Each of these states has corresponding benefits. Entering the Beta brainwave state heightens alterness and focus. If you wanted to relax, learn new information or reprogram your beliefs then the Alpha state would be the most appropriate. Let's say you desired a change in the way you viewed memories. Perhaps they have strong negative emotional ties with them. You could use the Theta brainwave state to release the emotions connected to the memories. If you need to accelerate your healing, strengthen your immune system or undertake some powerful self improvement work then the Delta state would prove highly beneficial.

Here are the frequencies associated with the brainwave states mentioned above:

1. Beta - 13 - 25 Hz.
2. Alpha - 8 - 12 Hz.
3. Theta - 4 - 7 Hz.
4. Delta - 1 - 3 Hz.

Many people wonder why they can't just listen to the desired frequency without the need for two separate tones. This cannot be done as we can only hear sounds that are between 20 and 20000 hertz.  Therefore frequencies that fall in the range of the desirable states, that we wish to create, would just not be heard if they were played as one track. As the tones used in binaural beats recordings create a beat that doesn't really exist, this problem is avoided. In addition, the binaural tones, that cause the beat, have the added advantage of increasing communication between the two cerebral parts of the brain.

Why do People Dream?
Why do people dream? That question is often deliberated by inquiring minds. Do people dream in the same way? Why do people dream in such disorientated symbols sometimes and what do they mean? Why do people dream of dreadful things now and then?

There are a few scientifically based and mystical theories associated with why people dream.

Why do people dream fun things sometimes and experience nightmares at other times?

There are lots of different views that attempt to answer the query why do people dream. For instance, a nightmare is considered to be a way of venting internal worries or deep-seated fears and as a means for relieving everyday pressures.

Sigmund Freud asked the question why do people dream and saw dreams, in his psychoanalytic model, as being repressed or suppressed desires that people ordinarily hide from themselves due to the consciously unwanted nature of the desires.

Freud thought that those hidden desires were symbolized when we dream in order that a human being could experience them in a non-judgemental way.

Other, magical, views of dreaming suggest that the exact opposite of the dream is an indication of what is occurring in the dreamer's life or what is in the close future. For instance dreaming of a sad event means that a joyful event will occur. This is not a widely-held view however.

There are those who see them as visions of future events. This view is gaining more popularity though not scientifically tested!

The english noun dream has originated from possibly several other sources and not just English. The ancient Saxon word 'drom' meant mirth while the middle English word 'drem' had its origins in the more ancient English word 'dream'. Both words mean joy. So would appear that ancients believed having dreams was good.

A lot of different historical ethnic people have often believed different things and answered the query why do people dream in different ways. For example, Aborigines, differ in their views in that believe that dreams are the real state and the waking state is the illusion.

Therefore the query why do people dream is far from easy to answer.

The Britannica Concise Encyclopedia's definition of the word dream states that dreaming is "a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep". Take note though that dreams are not always involuntary and I will return to this point later!

Dreams happens when someone enters a a state where the body and conscious mind are quiet but the unconscious mind is active. This state is associated with theta brainwaves. While the body is relaxed the the subconscious part of the mind is still active and that can be seen in the form of REM - Rapid Eye Movement.

Basically dreams are thoughts and emotions expressed in sleep. These internal concepts can be related and seemless or seem totally haphazard. They can show patterns and form or exhibit chaos.

If you hold true to the Freudian explanation of dreaming and his answer to why do people dream then you can work out what they mean with a dream analysis book and look for recurring symbols that mean something to you.

If believe the metaphysical explanation of and answer to why do people dream then you may see patterns in your dreams that make you believe you are witnessing future events.

Whetever view you hold dreaming is very important to our well-being and dream deprivation, through a lack of sleep, causes symptoms akin to insanity.

I am, of course, referring to lucid dreams. There are those who have the skill necessary to wake up in their dreams. When this occurs it is a fairly simple task to control the dream and mould it into anything you want. This is a fantastical experience and is just like real life. You can change yourself and anyone, experience anything and go anywhere and a lot of research shows that anyone can learn to do it!

Everything You Need To Know About Binaural Beats

Binaural beats are unique sounds recorded in such a way that they adjust the brain wave frequencies of the listener automatically. Through a technological technique known as brain entrainment, binaural beats can change the mental and physical state of anyone who listens.

Focus - The Power Behind Manifestation

Unfortunately the majority of people on our lavish little green planet are not happy with their 'lot' in life. They are living lives of quiet desperation, unsatisfied with their relationships, careers or finances.

What is the main reason for this dissatisfaction? The main reason I believe this is so is due to a lack of understanding about the nature of our universe which can be directly linked to our belief conditioning from childhood.

As a child we begin to replicate the conditioning of our parents. A person's beliefs and values are often passed from generation to generation until someone down the generations either has a life-changing experience or consciously reorganises or changes their belief system.

Your beliefs and values determine your focus and a key point I make in all my writings on personal development is the simple truth that "your focus determines your reality". Focus sets in motion the Law of Attraction. (See Wealth Beyond Reason for instructions on using the law of attraction.)

The internal dialogue and imaginings of your mind are guided by your focus and your focus is reflected in your thinking. Your thinking becomes automatic and therefore this becomes your automatic creation system.

If you are not currently living a life that is in correspondence with your desires it is due to your internal automatic creation system being out of alignment with your goals. Simply put this means: Your focus is on what you do not want instead of what you want!

Let's say you have bills piling up everywhere and no way of paying them. When you receive post through the mail what is your first thought? I bet it goes something like this, "oh no not more bills". Where is your focus directed?

Why do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? Well a rich man has money and he knows it. He sees wealth all around him. The poor person sees lack and concentrates on it. Can you see the difference in focus?

Now there are there are two basic ways to redirect your focus. The first is to change your beliefs so that your focus becomes more automatic in the direction that you wish it to go. The second way is to consciously redirect your attention to situations, people or events that correspond to a new belief.

This, however, is often easier said than done. For example examine the beliefs of a racist who thinks that he is superior to another person due to his heritage, skin colour, or ethnic origins. Now any right thinking person knows that these beliefs have no foundation in reality (subjective or otherwise). So in order to change these beliefs, at a core level, the racist would need to have some contact with other racial groups that have equal or better results in areas of their lives than he does. If he believes he is more intelligent then he would need to see that there are highly intelligent people of all races. If he believes that he is more prone to being successful because of his genetics then he would need to see that there are people of all races who achieve success with ease. If he believes that he is more equipped to overcome obstacles than members of another race then he would need to know that people from all walks of life and different cultures have achieved against seemingly insurmountable odds at great hardship to themselves and so on!

The problem with this is FOCUS! In most cases the racist does not want to see these things. He focuses on the situations, people and events that correspond and reinforce his beliefs! In extreme circumstances such a person will not even be in the company, correspond with, or listen about members of the group he is racist against.

You and I do exactly the same thing everyday. If your life is similar today to yesterday, last week or last year it is primarily because your focus has remained the same. Your thoughts yesterday where the same as last week and if your thoughts and focus are the same today then you can expect tomorrow to bring the same results!

If your beliefs are challenged by what you see, hear or experience many times you simply disregard the information and continue 'blindly' believing what you chose to believe. We filter our reality so that is reinforces our beliefs. We need to break free from this self-imposed brain-washing and redirect our focus on the things that will reinforce a new belief until we actually come to belief it.

For example take a couple in a 'bad' relationship. They come home from work and just know that they are going to have an argument with their spouse. Sure enough they arrive home and argue about who is taking the dog for a walk, what to watch on TV or why they argue so much! Where is the focus in this relationship?

Let's say they decide to try an experiment in beliefs and focus. They look at what IS working in the relationship. They recall the reasons why they first became a couple and begin to reinforce the things they have in common. Their focus is beginning to shift. Although they will probably fall back into some old routines of arguing again if they keep their focus on their shared interests and the things in their relationship that are working what do you think the effect will be?

Try this little experiment yourself. Choose a person who annoys you in some way and that you can't avoid but would if the choice where yours. A work colleague is a good example. Can you think of one? OK, what are you focusing on about that person? I bet it is all the things they do that annoy you. Try to think of something they do that you admire of that you like. This can be sometimes difficult but remember that every person has good and bad qualities so try not to become too polarised about people thinking them either good or bad - they are just human beings.

Now for a few days try your best to focus on the things you like or admire about them and watch what happens.

After you have tried this little experiment try other small ones in other areas of your life that you wish to improve.

What Is The Law Of Attraction? Can You Get It To Work For You?

What is the Law Of Attraction really? Can it work for you? Let's explore these questions a little.law of attraction

The Law of Attraction basically is the term given to the phenomenon of getting more of what you focus on. The law states that whatever you focus on or concentrate on will expand in your life. So if you focus or concentrate on your lack of money you will create more lack of money in your life. If you focus on the wealth and money you already have then you will attract or create more wealth and money into your life.

So if this is so simple to implement - just think about what you do want and not what you don't want, why do so many people find it hard to get this great law to work for them?

Well it is sad but the great majority of people on our planet are not happy with their lives. They look around them and see only the things that make them feel dissatisfied and unhappy. What is the main reason for this discontent? The predominant reason I believe this is so is due to a lack of understanding about the nature of our universe which can be directly connected to our thought programming from childhood.

As a child we begin to replicate the thought patterns of our parents. A person's beliefs and values are often passed from parent to parent until a person down the generations either has a life-changing experience or on a conscious level reorganises or reorganizes their belief system.

Your beliefs and values predestine your focus and a key point I make in all my writings on individual development is the uncomplicated truth that "your focus determines your reality". Focus sets forth the Law of Attraction.

The internal talk and imaginings of your mind are guided by your focus and it is your focus is reflected in your thinking. Your thinking becomes mechanical and therefore this becomes your predictable creation.

If you are not at this very minute living a life that is in accordance with your goals it is due to your internal predictable creation system being out of alignment with your wants. Simply put this translates to the following: Your focus is concentrated what you do not want instead of what you want!

Let's say you have payments due coming from everywhere and no way of paying them. When you get post through the mail what is your first thought? I'm sure it goes a little like this, "it never rains but it pours". Where do you think your focus being placed?

Why do the rich get wealthier and the poor get more down-trodden? Well a rich man has riches and he knows it. He sees money all around him. The poor person is aware of lack and focuses on it. Can you see the difference in focus?

Now there are there are 2 fundamental exercises to redirect your focus. The first is to change your beliefs so that your focus becomes more unconscious but in the direction that you wish it to go. The second way is to consciously redirect your attention to situations, persons or effects that correspond to new beliefs.

However this is often easier to say than to do. For example take a look at the beliefs of a person who has racial tendencies who thinks that he is superior to another person due to his culture, skin tone, or ethnic origins. It is safe to say that any ethical person knows that these beliefs have no foundation in reality (subjective or otherwise). So in order to change these beliefs, at a deep level, the racist would need to have some contact with other racial groups that have equal or better results in areas of their lives than he does. If he believes he is smarter then he would need to see that there are very intelligent people of all ethnic backgrounds. If he believes that he is more likely to being successful because of his colour then he would need to see that there are people of all origins who achieve success with ease. If he thinks that he is more likely to overcome obstacles than members of another race then he would need to know that people from all walks of life and different origins have succeeded against seemingly insurmountable odds at great strain to themselves and so on!

The problem with this is in the person's Focus or how they are choosing to look at their personal world! In the majority of cases the racist doesn't want to see these things. His focus is on the situations, persons and events that back-up and strengthen his beliefs! In some cases this type of a person will not allow himself to be in the same space, have dialogue with, or listen about people of the group he is racist toward.

Although they will probably fall back into some old routines of arguing again if they keep their focus on common interests and the things in their relationship that are working what do you think the effect will be?

Try this little experiment yourself. Pick a person who annoys you in some way and that you are unable to avoid but would if the choice where yours. A work colleague is a good example. The Secret
There are a lot of people speking out about the dangers of the DVD The Secret. Now let me tell you this, history has shown us that when a "new" idea is presented to the world it is immediately debunked by the authorities of the day. Luckily however we live in the Information Age and almost anyone can get their hands on information almost instantly.

It is therefore much harder for the so-called experts of today to tell people "listen to me, I'm an expert and I know what I'm talking about". The beauty of this age we live in is that people can check out what they are being told can formulate their own opinion on it!

As the The Secret deals primarily with the Law of Attraction and how to use it to your advantage many "experts" feel threatened by its message. It places the responsibility for your life firmily at your own feet and goes against the draconian views held by many aging scientists and psychologists! When debunking the subject these experts fail to properly address Quantun Physics which points to the fact that Mind creates Matter! The new science of today is begining to prove what avatars and sages have said for thousands of years.

But..... I am not claiming to be an expert and even if I was I would still say this....check it out for yourself!
